Why publish with us?

Rising Voices offers early-career scholars, particularly graduate students, the opportunity to write for a dialogic, gracious publication with an eye to the particular needs of students. We love working with authors from diverse backgrounds, including those who come from marginalized or historically minoritized groups, those who write in English as their second language, and those who have not previously been through the academic publishing process. For many, academic publishing can be intimidating, and the review process is often opaque. As such, we scaffold editing into multiple stages, encouraging authors to maximize their strengths while also helping them refine their arguments and writing style. Ultimately, Rising Voices hopes to bridge the gap between course paper, thesis, and dissertation writing and peer review publishing.
